Background and vision
With 20 years of experience, delivering navigation to young people and adults, SENavigation are able to deliver and also adapt it’s courses to meet the of the individual and/or group.
Based in Kent, we run our courses across the county since we started. SENavigation also organise events with more challenging terrain further afield, such as the Ashdown Forest.
SEND Schools
SENavigation provides support to young people who are developing their skills to complete the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. Working closely with the staff, SENavigation is able to adapt the content to meet the needs of the individuals, in particular understanding and ability. With the range of courses and levels available all have the ability to achieve which is equally important.
Home Educated young people
Young people, who are home educated, have the opportunity to learn and develop new skills, and be more confident. First of all, they learn map skills in a classroom environment, as well as compass, then follow a route they have planned. They will use their newly taught skills, maps and compasses and finally complete their route and achieve their goal.
DofE participant’s
DofE participants are able to use a NNAS course to develop and enhance their skills for the expedition section of the Award. The two day NNAS course will ensure that they are prepared and consequently navigate successfully and safely without getting lost.
School staff
Teachers, delivering DofE, can develop their skills further, by attending a NNAS course to refresh and completement their current knowledge. This enhanced knowledge can then be passed onto participants
